Top Ten Lists are fun to have and give a view of life at the top. The value of any management system, though, is the depth of information across the broad spectrum of the items below the top ten. The BarBann system provides a profile of every "discovery". Not just the ones at the top. Not just the ones that you knew about before hand. Every discovery. That is the strength of our system.

Each media file that is "discovered" on one of the Peer to Peer file sharing systems is classified as to the location of the "node" where it was downloaded. The census data collection is identified by national regional, and type of source location (Government Location, Public Access, Major Corporation, Corporation, Dial up Individual, BroadBand Individual, or Educational Location). Below is a template for the format of the report "Weekly Discovery Profile Report". The ending date of each report appears in the heading of the report. The Title of the "discovery" is a data smoothed version of the name that would appear on the Peer to Peer trading systems. Thus Sk8ter and Skater are understood to be the same Title. The Artist of the "discovery" is identified and correctly translated from the P2P world to a normalized data identity. Thus Bridge over Troubled Waters by the Beatles is understood to be Bridge over Troubled Waters by Simon and Garfunkle. This Weeks quantities are pure census counts with no extrapolation, no weighting, no smoke and mirrors. Last week quantities are the same basic straight forward numbers.
